Every content section — and the footers — carries the same Colors group at the bottom of its settings. Use it for one-off treatments: a dark feature band, an accent-tinted promo, a section that matches a campaign.
Recolor a section
-
Click the section in the editor and scroll its settings to the Colors heading.
-
Pick a Background color. It fills the whole section band.
-
Pick a Text color. Headings and body take it directly; secondary text (captions, muted lines) automatically takes softer versions of the same color, so the hierarchy survives the recolor.
-
Leave either unset to keep the theme style’s designed colors. Unset means “inherit”, and it is the right default for most sections.
How it plays with dark panels
Some sections contain designed dark panels (the Verso hero’s ink slab, dark CTAs). Your Text color recolors the text on those panels too, while the panel surfaces themselves keep their designed fills unless you set a background color. In short: text settings change text, background settings change backgrounds.
Contrast is your call
The theme’s default palettes are contrast-checked; your custom combinations are not. Dark text on a dark background will save without complaint — preview every recolored section, ideally on a phone in daylight brightness.
When to change the global palette instead
If you find yourself setting the same colors on many sections, stop and change Theme settings → Colors once instead — every section that is still “unset” follows the global palette automatically. See Logo, favicon, colors, and fonts.
