Verso installs like any Shopify theme. Nothing about your existing store changes until you publish it.
Install from the Theme Store

In your Shopify admin, go to Online Store → Themes.

Find Verso in the Theme Store and choose the style you want to start with. Each style installs as its own copy of the theme, already set up with that style’s layouts.

The theme appears in your Theme library, below your currently published theme.
Install from a zip file
If you purchased or received Verso as a zip file:

Go to Online Store → Themes and scroll to Theme library.

Click Add theme → Upload zip file and choose the zip. Do not unzip it first.

Wait for the upload to finish. The theme appears in your library.
Preview and publish

Click Customize on the theme in your library to open the editor and set it up. Everything you do here is invisible to shoppers until you publish.

Use the preview eye icon (or share the preview link) to look at the storefront on desktop and your phone.

When you are happy, click the ⋯ menu on the theme card and choose Publish. Your old theme moves into the library — nothing is deleted.
Keep one untouched copy of the theme zip somewhere safe. If you ever want to compare against a fresh install or roll back an experiment, uploading it again gives you a factory copy in minutes.
