Each style opens its collections differently. All three read the collection’s own title and description as defaults, so well-written collections in your admin do half the work.
Verso
A display title with the product count, the collection description as an introduction, and the filter bar beneath.
Maren & Field
A magazine section opener: breadcrumbs, a big serif title beside a standfirst paragraph, closed with a heavy rule. The optional Shelf menu setting renders a row of serif pills linking sister collections, with product counts and the current one highlighted — build that menu in Online Store → Navigation with one link per collection.
Baseline
A full-width strip of goal tabs (each tab is a block: icon, label, linked collection — the current one inverts), then a split header with the title on the left and two honest guidance cells (“Worth your money here” / “Probably is not”) on the right.
Breadcrumbs behave themselves
The M&F and Baseline openers show a breadcrumb trail that adapts to wherever the section is used — collection, page, product, or blog — and hides automatically on the home page. A Show breadcrumbs toggle turns it off entirely.
The opener sections can be used outside collection pages (for example as a heading band on a landing page). Off a collection, the collection-specific parts — count, shelf highlighting — quietly step aside.
