The store locator pairs your visiting information — heading, story, address card, action buttons — with a map area that can render three ways, in this order of priority:
Option 1: interactive Google map (recommended)
-
Open the Store locator section’s settings.
-
Type your address into Map address — street, city, postcode.
-
The map area becomes a live, pannable Google map centered on that address, with Google’s own link through to directions and your business listing. No API key, no Google account, no billing setup.
Option 2: an image
Leave Map address blank and upload a Map image — a stylized map screenshot or a storefront photo. If you set the Map link, the whole image becomes a click-through to your maps listing.
Option 3: the placeholder
With neither set, a styled placeholder with a location pin keeps the layout composed until you decide.
The address card
The card beside the map holds your business name, a multi-line address (press enter for line breaks), and two buttons — “Open in maps” and an accessibility or secondary link, both fully editable.
Use the exact address text from your Google Business Profile in Map address so the embed pins your actual listing, reviews and all.
