Collection pages pair a style-specific opener with a shared product grid engine: faceted filters in a sidebar (a drawer on mobile), sorting, and pagination.
Filters come from Shopify
-
Install Shopify’s free Search & Discovery app if you have not.
-
In the app, choose which filters your store offers — availability, price, product type, vendor, options like size, and any metafield you define.
-
The theme renders whatever you enabled. Active filters show as removable chips above the grid; price filters get min and max fields.
Sorting and pagination
The sort menu offers Shopify’s standard orders (best selling, price, newest, alphabetical). Pagination shows beneath the grid; both work without page reloads.
Product cards
Cards show the image (with a second image on hover where the product has one), title, price, sale and sold-out badges, star summary when a review app has written ratings, and quick add. Variant option swatches render for products with a color-type option.
Keep the filter list short and meaningful. Five filters shoppers actually use beat fifteen they scroll past — and fewer facets keeps the sidebar tidy on mobile.
